You try looking on sewell lexus website. You can find the part and # on there, plus you get a clublexus discount on most parts.

I searched the sewell site and could not find the part. I know that they dont list everything there. If you have the part # and punch it into the search box then it will show up. Thats why Im looking for the part #

I need the part number for the sensor (or whatever it is) that lets you know when a tail light bulb is out. Reason I put sensor/indicator is I seen it called different things when I was searching for it online.

Where exactly is this "sensor" located. I searched the parts diagrams and can't find it. I'm wondering if the function is part of an ECU that has multiple functions.

Well... The computer just checks the current draw on the bulb as far as i know, so there's no such thing is 'light outage sensor'.
correct me if i'm wrong...

Make sure the replacement bulb is identical to the stock bulb. Check the base for brass v. tin. Some lamp monitors can get fooled if you change bulbs and put in a bulb with a different base.

BTW, a bulb monitor can be triggered by a bulb that is starting to go bad but hasn't blown yet.

Well according to junjdm when he did the face lift from 01-03 to 04-06 he replaced this part to get rid of the tail lamp failure warning on the dash. I asked him for the part # but he said he didnt remember and didnt seem to want to help me out. I changed my tail lights to LED so I get the warning. I aslo am thinking of doing the face lift and this is a part I cant seem to find a part # for.

there's no such original part... you have to use some kind of resistor inline with leds...
ask jdm kids about that.
