Default My new 19" wheels arrived

Thanks to another CL member, I just bought some very lightly used Moda 19" with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Totally changed the feel of my car, since I had 17's on it. With the 19's and the Sport suspension, this thing is now tighter than my Audi A8 was.

Not sure how these tires will fare in a cold Nashville winter, but right now I am in heaven.

Nashville cold? LOL thanks for the good laugh this morning.

You can always put the 17s back on for the winter.

The 19s look good, but the larger wheel size accentuates the fender gap. Maybe a little lowering is in order.

Ha!! Yeah - I'm sure lowering it would look great, but I've got a steep driveway, and I'm already very close to scraping everytime I come home.

CaddyOwner - I know we don't know cold like Michigan, but we do have a couple months where the temperature stays under 35 degrees, which apparently isn't great for Summer tires.

Did you try putting on the Lexus "L" center caps? I bet they would fit.

Good point. Hopefully you still have your 17" wheels with a good set of all-season tires. Or, when you need new rubber for the 19" wheels, you could consider all-season tires.

One of the nice features of the LS430 is the lack of pressure-sensor based TPMS. You can swap wheels/tires without the expense of a second set of sensors and the hassle of reprogramming the TPMS for the new wheels.

JLAWS - really? How would you take the center caps off the old ones without scratching them? Do they make some plastic tool to help pry them out?
