Default auto headrest

Whenever the driver seat is moved more than a inch or two, the driver side headrest fully extends, which is not needed.

Is there a way to disable this ? .... I'd like it just to stay put.

Thanks.

There have been a few posts on this topic in the past - unfortunately the consensus seems to be there is no way to make it stop. Its the one design element in the LS that I find to be 100% without any merit. A poorly executed idea that can't be turned off making it even worse.

Hmmmm, interesting. I always assumed it was just my LS and I assumed it was just a defective connection or switch. Safety feature? I don't get it. Interesting thing is that it doesn't always do it. It just seems like an intermittent "feature".

It only happens on mine when the driver seat is moved more than a inch or two.

only way I found around it was to use the three program buttons for the various seat positions,, keeps the head rest in the selected position,,

agree with others it is a pain in **** to have to mess with it when you only wanted the platform moved,, someone was not at the helm on that decision,,

The physique compensation headrest feature can be disabled using the CBEST setting in the attached picture.

I believe you can always adjust the height of the headrest by pushing down or pulling up the backrest adjust button. This should lower/raise the headrest, respectively.

I also always assumed that this was a connection defect in the driver seat adjustment switch

Good to know that it's a feature and can be disabled.

You need to take it into a dealer to have them disable it.

My car does the same thing, it tripped me out at first but I'm the only person who drives it so I never looked into it.
