Default 2004 LS Lexus UL question

Almost scared to ask this question but I just need to know where to start. I have a 2004 LS UL with 70k miles and I'm having a lot of bounce from the rear end while driving. Rough roads especially. I know the UL has an air suspension and I've several horror stories here in the forum. Does anyone have any advice before I take it to the dealer? I'm located in central Louisiana and will be taking it to Bossier City Lexus Dealer. Any advice will help.

pawn something to pay for the air shock replacement. Sounds like you will need to replace at least one of them. At $1,000 each, no including labor, it's a costly repair. No aftermarkets parts available... unless you swap out all the air components and goto a coilover setup. That is a tough choice to make. Pay Lexus $2,000 to return it to normal operating conditions, or ditch the air suspension and pay $2,000 for a traditional coilover setup. let us know what you decide. A few members have made that swap.

personally id do the coilover swap, thats what I did and what is funny and nice at the same time is that you can go with a lower rated coilover mfg. and still get a smooth ride because our cars are so heavy - so no bounce!

Alright gents, no need to panic... Coilovers setup will only cost you in the vicinity of 1400(tein CS). In any case you will end up spending that much for one of those dreaded factory air shock, therefore it would be very smart in your case to just switch over once n for all and be done with. What if you fix one now and in two months another goes out?? Then you are faced with the same deliemma all over again...

Are the Tein CS all you need to buy for the switch or are there other parts you need to get to complete it?

I am starting from scratch, so I don't know where to start. I'm here asking advice from those with the experience. This maybe a stupid question but is Tein CS a brand or a type of shock?
