You'll need to add an HID kit to get your running lights to look like that. The kit will include two ballast (one for each light), two HID bulbs, and a wiring harness.

They are a sponsor for Club Lexus. I got my fog light kit from them and Steve, who is the main contact, is extremly knowledgable and helpful.
as a side note, if you want your running lights to be HID, why don't you just run with your headlights on all the time. Spend the money on a kit for your fog lights. Much cooler looking.
In addition to this, most higher end cars used a combo of both HID and regular halogen together at night. So you'll see both a blue and yellow tint inside the headlight housing. It looks expensive.
Using HID's in both the running and head lights, in my opinion, will make the car look lower end. Like all the rice rockets running around with HID's when they don't come stock with it. You can just tell it was not meant to be.
somebody correct me if i am wrong, but, doesn't that car have an aftermarket front bumper with LED embedded in them? it also has a different fog light assembly altogether...
i agree with bigcory just get a hid kit for your fog and just run with your lights on all the time. Thats what im doing in my car and it looks good. And DANXP your right it does have a aftermarket front bumper made by Aimgain call Cygnus
All the halogen bulbs will be yellow when functioning as drl's. The reason for that is that the bulb is only getting about half the wattage in drl mode v.s. high beam mode, and it is not enough to get them white. Similar to how hid's show a greenish color before they get warm up and turn their whitest.
They have kit that works, looks fantastic and are hella bright! You def see me coming, they stand out real nice.
I re-aimed my headlamps up higher due to them being aimed low by the factory and have no need for high beams. Our projector HID's are incredible for light output and road coverage you won't believe (check out the pic below)
As you can see they are very capable and the most sought after projectors that are retro fitted in other vehicles, I don't miss the brights at all. Quite a few guys here have done this mod as well, just another option I'm putting out there.
^^Exactly you can do LED'S & they'll do fine but if you want you can run HID's ,the end result is your choice...i had the VLED's but i got rid of the DRL all together....it's all about how much you want to spend on that particular mod
