Pictures are up for others who may be interested:
From the backside, it's not a perfect circle. It's slanted towards the center.
Measurements from edge to straight edge: 3 3/4"
Measurements from edge to round edge: 4 1/4"
If you're in here already, you can remove that amber piece:

I doubt you'll read this since the post is so old but....Really nice job!!! Does the plastic lens come apart or is it glued? Are the lights a pain in the *** to remove?

I don't believe this is as easy as it looks or there would be a ton of posts on doing it on this forum.

When you take them out, you need to replace it with another lens, such as the clear one in the picture.
They aren't that hard, but a lengthy process. You need to remove the bumper, so 9 screws on the bottom. 3 on the top, and 2 very hard nuts from the side of the fender.
After that they are just held by 3 10mm screws.
Takes about 45 min I'd say.
I am currently working on fitting my headlights with a bi-xenon projector from Morimoto instead of the high beam, also some LED halos and el wire going around the headlight. Hopefully have it done very soon.
