Default Started taking my headlights apart...

I was bored and I started taking my headlights apart for my retrofit. I ran into a little problem however. How the f__k do I remove the ballast? How do I pull it through the headlight? Here are a few pictures of what I am talking about. I have them unbolted, but I just can't pull them through???? Help guys! Thanks.

I got it to come out. Thanks guys. I didn't try the adjustment bolts earlier because I know that they don't come out, so I thought it wouldn't work.

I got a NON HID car, so the auto leveling wouldn't work anyway. I do have an extra motor if anyone is interested.

It would have been easier to unscrew the adjustment screws. Eventually you'll have to take it out anyways.

Hey GSteg, do you got any up close pictures of your retrofit. I am working on the LS 430 retrofit for mine. Any pictures would be appreciated.

Theres a couple ways you can tackle this. Unclip the connector part by taking it apart, disconnect the wire by opening up the ballast and disconnecting it from inside, or loosen the 2 bolts on the reflector bowl and popping it looose from inside.

The camera is your best friend during a DIY project. Trust me, I will be asking alot more questions as I go along.

I got a question. One of the headlights has a broken tab. Its the lower tab by the high beams. I am trying to fix it, but in all reality, how much of a difference is one broken tab going to make? Can I get by without it?

Should be fine. I think it mounts at 3-4 points on the car. Maybe you can secure it with some kind of tape just in case? The way the bumper wraps around the headlights makes sure they're not going anywhere.

Cool. I thought so. I just haven't taking off my stock headlights yet so I wasn't completely sure. Thanks!
