Default side rear privacy shade not retracting

I just brought my car back for this tint shop to fix one of my windows tints, and they just showed me that my rear drivers side privacy shade is not reeling back in. Lex says bring it on in, but I'm wondering how much that's going to cost?? I tried to search for a simple fix action but didn't see any.. this ever happen to anybody else??

I saw this car wash guy straight pull up on the shade to release it and just let it go and it straight snapped back into the thing a lot faster and louder than it should have. This may not have broke it but I'm sure it wasn't good for it. I'll have to put them down myself befor the car wash people mess with them in the future.

Do you still have warranty? If so, it won't cost you anything.

But you really need to open the door panel and see what happened.

Goodies are good... but once those little goodies start going baddy... it's $$$ flying out the window. If it's the assembly, I believe it's around $300 for the sunshade. I checked to see how much it would be to "retrofit" my Custom Luxury with the sunshade and it was wooooowwwwww.....not worth it.

yeah, they are nice when they work, huh?? it is in place presently and just doesn't roll down, so if they tell me it will cost anything more than like 150$ i'll seriously consider just leaving it like that. kinda ghetto i know, but what are you gonna do. it isn't funny looking when its up, and hardly anyone ever sits back there.

You can always just remove the door panel and rip out the entire assembly, that would be free.

Assuming you don't have any warranty to cover it.
