Default Rear defrost problem

So now that I finally need my rear defrost as it has been *** cold in TN, it doesn't end up working. Side mirrors work but nothing at the rear. Fuse is ok. The window is tinted and I bought the car pre-owned this way so I am thinking the tint shop used a blade and damaged/cut the line(s) as discussed in this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...uestion-3.html

I bought the car from Texas where rear defrost is probably never needed so previous owner never noticed and I don't know who originally tinted the windows so I can't take it back to them.

My question is, if that is in fact the issue, what are my options here?

1. http://www.frostfighter.com/defroste...d-kit-2100.htm (anyone have experience with repair kit?)
2. new window
3. ?

Thanks

I'd opt for the 1st option.

I hope you are good with your hands because this is a TOUGH obstacle to overcome....

Also, you'll need to remove your tint to do it. GL!

yeah.... alchemist I just looked it up how to do it, it's pretty tough and your lines are most likely not gonna be 100% perfect.

You'll need to run by each line at least 3x also...

EDIT: I haven't found anything yet, but you might want to try finding a defroster grid, like the whole grid, that way you can just tape it on or glue it on or something.... GL!
