Default Fixed my door lock actuator!!!

awhile back i posted a link asking for help on door lock actuator. about 4 months ago my driver door lock stopped working from remote. had to open it by key. so i took my car to the dealer and they quoted me 500 big ones. so i went home and went on CL and got some info (thanx guys) then went on ebay and bought 5 MOTORS for the door lock actuator for $6.50 with free shipping!!!! they only sold them in a pack of 5 cause they were so cheap. i took off my door panel. took out the lock assembly and replaced the actuator motor. after putting it in the motor rattled because i broke the seal on the case that was holding it. so i took some little clamps and super glued the seal and now it works just like it did before. dealer charge 500 bucks i got it for 6.50 savings of 493.50... very happy!!!

Even cheaper isn't it. $6.50 divided by 5 motors = $1.30

Sell the other 4 motors

Now wait a min,, you have to take into consideration the amount of time at $129.95/Hour.... LOLL by the time you researched this, worried about it, actual time fixing the problem,, you would be maybe higher than the $500. Hey don't forget to charge the time with bragging about the job at the water cooler.. LOL

Nice job

yeah...some stuff i could do myself, but i pay someone else to do it because it is actually "losing $". i could use that time to do something else and make even more $.

Do you have the manufacturer name and/or model number for the motor you used? What is your vehicle? I have this problem with a 2003 LS430.
