Default How pimp is it?!

How awesome is it to be driving around in an LS on a daily basis? I am new to the site and this is the second Lexus we have owned. My wife had and IS300 and I thought it was ok. I didn't get to spend much time driving it, but driving the LS is unreal. I can't even imagine how awesome it is in some of the VIP cars on here. The car is so plush and makes you feel spoiled just to drive it. I can't wait to get a bit of a drop and some new wheels. Just wanted to say how much I am in love with this car after only 3 weeks.

I feel the same way, the LS430 is the coolest luxury daily driver in this price range.

You need both, one comfy and one exciting.

You can only be excited for so long until you need some rest, then you can only rest so long, get bore, and need some excitment again.

That is my conclusion after having just about every type of cars, there is not a single car in this world, regardless of price, that does both job 100%.

The best sport sedan that try to offer both, like M5, E55, S55.....do each job half *** in my opinion, they are not quiet and soft enough to be comfy, and not hard and loud enough to be exciting. They sure are fast, but being fast alone are not exciting.

Yep, so if I don't sell my LS430 in couple months, I will just get another sport car, an used M3 or new 335ci. So I have best of both worlds.
My SC doesn't do a good job on the exciting department.

I get 18-20 in the city, maybe I drive like a grandpa! My Tibby is exciting enough for me on spirited days. 350whp on the fwd setup and the car is only 3000lbs is plenty fast for me. I know it is a Hyundai and that is not great, but the car is good looking enough for me and the ride is very visceral with all the mods. Then on the rest of the days rolling in the Lexus is amazing!

I thought I would feel a guilty pleasure from driving the LS, but honestly at 19mpg all local driving for me, I don't feel guilty at all. My '98 Accord V6 was doing less than 17mpg when I sold it and that thing did not handle the road, or handle me... as well as the LS. Oh highway, forget about it... LS-26, Accord-21. Fahgetaboutit....

It's just a car, a thing. It's for transportation for me only. I got it for reliability and size! I do understand your excitement though. I never looked at it the way you do now, though I've always been grateful! Enjoy your car fellow Club Lexus member! L.G.N.M

LOL, Well I just recently got my service light on so that maybe the reason or not . But, from 18mpg/city "on the sticker" which it seems like most LS owners get more than that to 13mpg/city...Damn thats a difference. I still love the car and hope after I get service done it'll go up quite a bit.
