Default 19" tire options

Will 255/45/19s work on 05LS? It'll be tall for sure, but will it work? Looking at .5" more sidewall and 1" more in diameter. Speedo off ~2.5%

It should work but there are other factors your leaving out for us to truly help you. Are you on stock suspension? What are the offsets and the size of the wheels?

i was looking at getting some 19's with a 45 sidewall but the 255 may be a little wide, i was thinking more like 245 45 19 rear and like 225 45 19 front. i heard someone say that this size will rub in the rear if its lowered...

If you are asking me, then my car is lowered with tein cs...these wont rub..you could even have a 315 if you have the right offset for the rims!!

to JDMMUSCLE: do you think a 245/45/19 will work if you are lowered in the rear like your tein cs's, or will it rub?? i guess a deep dish offset would rub???

According to tirerack.com, you should run a 245/40-19 with no problem. If you want a staggered setup, you should do 245/40-19 in the front with 275/35-19 in the rear. That would look sick!

That's exactly what I ran on the 'fat setup' I ran on my 2005 LS430 Ultra and had no issues. I chose this setup specifically for the ride quality along with better look with +sized wheels... good compromise.

245/40ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
275/35ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S

My car was not lowered at the time as you can see in the pics - I had the lowering module but sold it (just like I am with the wheels/tires). The setup rode great but I decided since my LS lives outside and goes to the gym, home depot, etc all the time as our daily driver that I didn't want to worry about parking it away from everything, theft, etc.

well i used to run a 275 20 20 and then a 275 25 20 on the rear of my gs400 and it rode like ***... it looked sick as hell with the rubberband tires but not so vip on the inside (road feel). so now i am looking to go with a big sidewall if i get 19's on my ls... not sure about dude who started this thread and i don't mean to hijack, i am guessing he may also want a smoother ride on 19's in his ls as well.

i know they all recommend the 40 upfront and 35 in the rear, i know this man, but i was hoping for a little more cushy-ness. and if 40 works in the front why not 45??? and i guess at the worst i would do a 40 in the rear but no less sidewall on my dd car ever again. unless its a sports car..

yup 245 40 19 and 275 35 19 would be the preferred fat set up.

u can even do 255 40 19 at the rear to.
