Guys,
Looking at 2 cars and wanted some opinions:
1/ 2005 LS430, black on black, custom lux package (no PCS), 58k - $21,200
2/ 2006 LS430, flint mica on black, modern lux, 48k - $22,500
I love both colors, so the color is not a factor. Basically, do I go with 10k more miles and a year older for custom lux and $1,300 less? Or pay the extra, do without the custom lux, and have a year newer with 10k less miles?
Thanks,
Jonny

I'd only buy Custom Lux\Ultra, as once you've had the nicer leather, headliner, door closers, quieter windows, radar cruise, etc, it's hard to go back. Trust me. Drive them back to back and you'll see.
The 06 could be a good deal because it's under 50K and you could get the factory Extended Warranty on that.

Thanks for the responses guys. I have already owned an Ultra so I have been spoiled previously...
How much do the extended warranties cost? Is it from Lexus?

Just to elaborate:
1. headliner is the suede (Alcatraz, or whatever they call it) and it just feels better to the touch
2. leather I didn't really feel too much a different to the behind, but there's extra leather on the dash bottom, doors, middle console... just so much more dead cow skin to enjoy.
3. door closers, so much easier on the kids (if you have kids) to close the door gently and it automatically closes. You don't startle them... plus, if you need to sneak in at nights without waking up the spouse, that helps too...

4. HEADLAMP washers !!!!
5. black interior is warmer in the summers, but so much more luxurious looking overall.

I'd recommend a CL over an ML, but not at 58K miles. I would hold out and keep looking. That is a really good price though on the '06, but given that you have already owned an UL, I cannot see how you can go for anything but a CL or UL.
Good luck on your decision.

i was never a fan of black interior but i just picked up an 05 UL w/ 29k miles flint mica on ecru or beige or whatever color it is and i love it. the black interior always looks dirty to me and shows wear so much faster than the lighter color leathers. good luck but don't rush, hold out for the one you really want and it will be worth it...
sounds like some killer prices you have their! Is that what the market average is at for our cars?
