Default Looking at a 2005 LS430

I'm new to the board and I am looking at a 2005 LS430 with 43,000 miles and is "Certified Pre-Owned". The color is Flint Mica and it has the Custom Luxury Package and Smart Key. The dealer is asking $33,900. Does this sound like a decent deal? I was thinking of shooting for somewhere around $32k.

Thanks for your help...

zkc.. are you refering to the flint mica with the ecru interior at the 'local' lexus dealer in KCMO?

I looked at that one as well, but just picked up one with a black int. Color is up to the individual as far as I am concerned.

I paid just under 28K for the exact same thing(CL, smart key). 05 ls430 with 44k miles but with the 18" 5 spoke wheels. However, it wasn't a CPO and wasn't from a lexus dealer. So the extended warranty isn't included with the price I paid. You should find out what they have done to the car, mainly have they done a brake job on it. I know ding/dent removal is part of the CPO process (given that any existed)

btw... I have only had mine a couple of weeks and absolutely love it.

malbin,

Yes, that is the car that I am looking at. I made the mistake of buying a certified pre-owned 2001 GS430 from Superior in 2004 and now my wife can't stand not having some kind of warranty, so unfortunately I will have to lean that way for her peace of mind. I just got rid of the GS430 and loved it the whole time, so I'm sure the LS430 will be just as good if not better. I would definitely like the 18 inch weels, so I'll probably keep hunting...

I haven't looked at the car in person yet, how did it look when you looked at it???

Thanks,
Zac

I only saw it from the outside and it looks great.. Never sat in it, but since my car is in for service today, I will try to give it a better look over this afternoon. I only live about 3 miles from there, so sunday afternoons are spent drooling over the new cars.. if I could only afford an LS460. :-)

I am sure they would work with you on changing out the wheels.

You can always purchase an extended warranty for the car as long as it not yet out of the factory warranty from Lexus.. just search the forums for info including price.. that is most likely what I am going to do..

btw.. sewell lexus has the wheels for 1200 new
