Hey everyone, just got myself a remote starter as a christmas gift.. and i was wondering if its safe to install a remote starter on the LS430? Will any features be affected? or could possibly ruin the electronics in anyway?

I got a Viper 5900 installed 2 weeks ago. Amazing! Now I get into a warm car and don't waste time to warm it up. There are a few catches though:
1. The steering wheel stays up and I have to press a memory recall button to put it back in position.
2. Now the remote unlocks all four doors with one click. Before the shop did: 1 click unlocks drivers door and two more continuous clicks unlocked all other doors. It worked for a few days and then didn't open the rest of the doors. So I came back and told them to do it in one click.
3. The alarm has 1 mile range but it will not work if you're parked a few blocks away with tall buildings in the way.
I paid $160 for Alarm itself (black friday deal) and $200 for installation that took almost 4 hours.

My LS already had a remote starter when I bought it. I've never had a problem with it but I do have the same issue with the memory and the steering wheel that yuri.ber stated above.

Thanks, I also installed a Kenwood AMP for the sub. Now the system sound very good. I just have to dynamat the rear deck.

wow you got a super good deal.
Thanks. When I came in to the shop the first time, they told me $500 including their alarm and installation (this shop is an authorized Viper Dealer). When I came in the second time with alarm in my hand they told me $200 for installation. When owner asked me the price I paid for alarm his jaw dropped. He told me that I got it cheaper then wholesale.
