Remember gentlemen, SAFETY first!!!!!! You are not the only ones on the road. Also remember to check over your vehicle berfore running it at those speeds (they can drive that fast, but they are not driven like taht every day). And most important, some of you are husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, and friends to people who LOVE you. No one wnats to go to a wake/funeral because you want to see how fast your LUXURY car drove. Leave that for the AMGs, M series, S series cars.
Life is too short for stupid things. We need to be around for all the interesting things Lexus have in mind for LS' of the future!!!!!!!

In Europe we get 155 mph (250 km/h) out of a LS 430.
Of course due to the fact that we are much better drivers over here
and we are used to high speeds
Must be a electronic thing then, the car will go much faster than 131 mph

The top speed in US cars is usually mandated by the standard tires that come on the car. If a 150 mph car is equipped with 130 mph tires, the car will be limited to 130 mph. No auto manufacturer will allow a car to go so fast the tires could come apart (it's a "John Edwards" ambulance chaser thing).
I figured something like that. The cars in Europe are equiped with speedindex 'W' for a max speed of 270 km/h / 168 mph. Can't wait to take my new car to the German Autobahn to go top-speed legally
Why the cheapo attitude from US-dealers? Can they set the top speed to a higher level when tires with a higher speedindex are fitted?
