Default gps software

Is there an online review or howto regarding the gps software? I am very familiar with various gps's but not the one in the Lexus. I like to get a feel for it before getting the car.

Also, if I get an 04 or 05, what is the cost of the latest maps? Is it really over $250?????? What is the latest version that works on the 430's? Is there any place that discounts them? Ebay, maybe?

Right now I'm using a Lowrance iWay 500c on the GoldWing and move it to the cars as needed. It has a 10 gig space for mp3/ogg music files and would be nice if the 430 had at least an RCA line in jack without having to buy another $300 piece for it plus all the labor to install the sucker.

Thanks.
