hey guys, just installed some volk racing ce28n special edition wheels on my car and boy does it ride like shyt!! the offsets are from a supra and the wheels sizes are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5, aftermarket wheels make this ride like total s#$t....is that the same with you guys also .....or am i just losing my marbles!!

 

What's the profile of your tires? That would make the difference.

40's all around!!..245 in the front and 275 for the rears!

 

not very sure on that...they fit supras and sc perfect!!

 

I always have 19' 20' for my Lexus, none of them drive like a S&^&t.

I like the ride with 20' on my LS better than my17'!

no no.....maybe its the wrong offset that made the car drive bad, believe me if you drove my car you would def. throw up!!...i had 19's on my previous LS, they drove just fine!!

 

What's the size of the tires? I guess they are Supra specs too? The tires on the LS should be bigger, but I don't think it would affect ride quality much. Is it rough, bumpy, or what's up?

For an LS it should be about: 245/45/18 and 275/40/18.

 

Offsets have nothing to do with making the car drive bad. It's either the tires (stiff sidewalls, hard compound, run flats, etc.) or improperly balanced wheels...or a combination of both.

 

totally agree with you on that.....but the same wheels with the same tires drive very good on a SC or a supra....rims arent bent...decent thread on the tires..etc etc!!...i remember back when i had my LS400....i threw my stock TT wheels, and they drove the same way(horrible)....and later i got the lexions and they drove very nice!!...very odd!!

 

??? gotta be something wrong with the tire and balance.

I have 225/35/20 and 255/30/20 streched on my car now, they drive very nice.

Supra/SC/GS/LS should have similar offsets.
