Question Door locks on LS430

The driver's door on my wife's LS430 has stopped locking electronically (can only be locked by using the key in the lock). Her key, my key or the button on the arm rest lock and unlocks all the others doors, except the drivers. Any suggestions?

well it should be the only thing youll need. thats the only thing i needed to changed when i had a sc400. same thing happened to me. i found out it was just a door actuator that needed to be replaced. same exact problems. wouldnt lock unless i locked it manually.

Default Door lock

Could be the cable is broken.. My cable for the door latch broke a few weeks ago and i took off the door panel and saw that the lock operates the same way A cable with a ball bearing attached at the end which operates the lock/ latch. I'm looking to see what my options are. Could find the part from lexus (earching online) but the price for the cable for an Avalon is 13$ im gonna order it and hopefully it'll work...

Dealer quoted me $850.00 to replaced driver door actuator. I have been using the key ever since. Don't like it, but what are you going to do?

Default If you are mechanical, or know someone mechanical...

You can do this yourself in less than a half day at the house with hand tools after you buy the part for less than $15.00.

Look at these two links:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...-tutorial.html

http://www.shastaanesthesia.com/Lexu.../actuator.html

It was a no brainer for me and am very happy with the results.
