Was driving home from our trip to Las Vegas and the CD my wife put in only an hour or two earlier got stuck and will not come out. The CD system now says "CD error" and ejecting does nothing (I can hear the engine trying, but it's no go).
Is this a common problem? Can I just tweezer it out, or is it a sign that the CD player needs to be replaced?
Some CD's will have what they call FLASH along the outside of the disk.. (you can feel a little lip on the outside) This is caused when they make the CD the mold allows some plastic to slide out...This can cause loading and ejection problems on some disk players.
Take a razor blade and lightly run it along the outside of the disk to trim this flash off...
