I just purchased a 2005 LS430 from USA and imported to my country. It has arrived buy i am having trouble starting the car as the car is trying to start but it seems that the engine imoboliser cuts of power. I've been provided with only one key and I am able to enter the car. I've put a new battery in but the car just doesnt seem to want to start. Can anyone please tell me how and if i can start this and what the process is.
In my old LS400 the security feature requires leaving the key on ACC for 6minutes and then turning it off and then back on. I'm wondering maybe there is some security sequence like this.
Please can anyone advise me on how i can solve this problem
thanks for your replies. i've just identified that the car is not recognizing the key and thats why it isnt starting. The reason this could be is because the cars battery has been dead for over a month so I am assuming the car has lost all its key information and lexus have advised me that the car needs to be reprogrammed to a key.
Does anyone know if there is simply software or anything out there that can connect to the OBD II or something interface and able to reprogram my lexus to accept they key?
Would really appreciate some feedback and input on this.
If your starter is just cranking over, it could be because your transponder is not being recognized by the car. Here are some steps to fix that - however I think you need one good key.
