Blown subwoofer? Take the grill off and check it, there may be separation from the paper cone to the rim.

It's up to you but understand the ML subwoofer IS a freeaired not enclosed subwoofer. I just glued it with contact cement and so far so good, there are talk of rebuilding it with kit or send out for rebuild. Personally I would keep using the ML subwoofer whether rebuild or replace.

If you have the sunshade..that sometimes will cause the rattle..or something on the rear deck.

I got the JL 10" fits perfect in it, only paid $80 for it, its better than the trying to fix it hassle. Easy plug in play! sounds great too!

I did glue it back and now it's been about 3 months and still works. If you want to get a used one then check ebay. Normally there are a couple of them for sale. You can also get one of the rebuild kit and try it, of course I did not do it that way but if mine came apart again I will try it.
I had put a 8" JL subwoofer in before but it did not sound as good as the ML so that's why I did the glueing.

fixed mine with a bead of DAP Bathroom and Kitchen Adhesive sealer, just a bead around the outer edge of the cone, it takes about 30 seconds and you're done.

I used some black silicone (so it would be flexible)...sub sounds fine again with no problems. While I was back there (back seat out, back deck off), I ran the wire powering the stock sub through the trunk with connectors in the trunk. Now, I have a sub in a box in the trunk (sounds great) and if I ever need the room in the trunk, 10 secs to swap the connector and the stock sub is active again
