Default hesitation Normal ?

Hi, may have been mentioned already, but when taking of hard,is it normal for a delay before the rush of power comes on,not sure if this is the tranny,or engine, also how seamless is the tranmision, mine does not jerk, but you can feel the shifts, but they are smooth,

I believe the LS uses 2nd gear off the line (correct me if I'm wrong) in the normal mode. If you floor it, it would have to shift down, thereby a slight hesitation with its doing that. Upward shifts is pretty seemless in feel (no jerkyness) but since I'm the driver, I can detect from the slight exhaust note and rev that gears are being changed. Most passengers would not notice any shifts at all.

There's a TSB on the hesitation issue. Lexus dealer will reprogram your car's computer. I had mine done and there's a slight difference.

Or you can just leave your transmission in ECT POWER mode all the time. That way your car is more responsive.

Wink

you say there is a TSB...

What year, model ???

I too have issues.

the only way the car starts in 2nd gear is if you set the SNOW button on.

I think I read somewhere that 30 minutes unplugged should do it.
