Default Nav DVD

Someone gave me a Navigation disc from 2005 ES. Will it work in my 2001 LS? I want to try it out because it's the newer version than the one in my car right now. Also, is it easy to install? I'll try to run a search on the forum here to see if I come up with directions how to install, but if you have a link handy, please post. Appreciate replies. Thanks a lot!!!

Here is what the disc has for description:
DVD NAVIGATION MAP
NORTH AMERICA
W41 D

DATA VERSION 04.2

and 2005 ES has Gen4 nav. I just saw the layout of Lexus models to Nav version on lexus-parts.com

in that case then i think it won't work. 4th gen nav has voice recognition and it's a completely different system

personally i wouldn't recommend trying it out, you could mess up the stuff inside.

That's what I'm thinking....not worth screwing things up. Thanks koolaidman. Thanks ROMINL.
