Default Nav Question

Is it possible to purchase a new Lexus Navigation system and have it installed in a 2002 LS430 which does not have one? If so, how would I go about doing this and at what cost? Thanks.

it's not going to be pretty at all. first of all, forget about getting new oem system, it will cost A LOT. and i mean it, A LOT.

even if you get it from junk yard, you need the head unit, the dvd system in the trunk (it's in the trunk right?), the wiring, and also the wiring harness behind the dash. that's not it, you will still need to pay quite a bit for installation as well.

overall it's just not worth it

I completely agree with the last post. If you really want stock nav and have enough $$ to even consider it- You would be WAY better off taking that $5000 and using it to trade up to a car with NAV.

I think it might be better to simply get one of those dashboard mounted, portable NAVI systems for several hundred dollars.

haha, the layout of LS with and without NAV is way different!! Trade it or get a dashmount system like the Pioneer one.
