Question Another Non Nav to Nav retrofit query

Hi everyone

Really need some help from some of you in the know on retrofitting OEM navigation into our Ix50's.

I have an IS250 SE-L built in 2007 without the nav or ML system. I have just brought the below navigation system for £300. Its in full working order and includes an aftermarket Panosonic harness bypass (who knows what its for or what it does but its been glued to top of the unit) and all of the OEM connectors from the original harness to connect into the back of the unit. I've compared the new connectors to the connectors in my car and they are completely different

I'm a novice to all this, can somebody please tell me whether it is possible to retrofit it into my car, what each of the connectors control and whether anybody knows of somebody who can do me a harness to plug the unit in using the original 2007 Lexus Harness in my car? I am not going to be fitting the rear view camera, ML DVD system but would like the bluetooth.

Thanks again

That looks to me like you got an OEM navi there. Do a search for OEM navi into non navi equipped car. The search should yield a DYI by a member that did it.

that one looks like it's for a right hand steering wheel model. clock is opposite as with us models. ive done a nav to non nav reverse install so i could do the fly audio unit, everything went smooth. you will need to modify at least 1 harness, its the one on the side of the new unit. and you will also need to move some gateway wires too. it wont be easy but others have done it.. i personally have helped others install fly audio units in is250,350's that had factory nav already, so the process just needs to be reversed thats all. good luck and i must say that it is best to take lots of pics before and during the process so you wont forget what goes where!

Hi both thanks for that.

It is an OEM unit for a RHD car for UK spec.

The reason I have asked about the feasibility of the swap is because the back of this unit inc the CD Changer is different to the 06-09 OEM unit and has different connectors. I have seen the early model retrofit which was really helpful, but not sure whether the same wiring applies to this unit.

Thanks

well if the connectors are different than in the other post for retrofiting nav form non nav, then it wont work. unless you have schematics for both units, then you can wire accordingly

It's possible since I've already done it, and no, it was not easy.

I have acquired a 2010 HDD Gen6 unit and managed to get it power up on my 07 IS250, but cannot connect any of the other connectors (audio, HVAC, etc.) The connectors are different for 2010 onwards and dont fit.

@pavelekPL How did you manage to do the retrofit? Did you have to buy the 2010+ dash wiring harness? I found this on eBay and wondering if it would help:
