Hello,
I have just reached 50,000 miles on my 01 LS430 (now out of warranty) and my check engine light is illuminated. When you first start the car it says "change ac filter" which I have not noticed before. I have changed the air filter, but the check engine light still comes on and so does the quick "change ac filter" message. Does anyone know what this could be, or how I could determine the problem? Thanks very much for all your help!

There’s a way to reset the filter light, as far as warranty, don’t you have a 6 year 70,000 power train warranty?
I really am not sure about the warranty, i thought it went out after 50,000 miles? If its 6 years 70,000 I am very glad to hear that. Thanks for you help, and I will look into that reset filter button. I will call my dealership and find that out. Thanks!

50K is the Bumper to bumper, but then you get a 70K/6 years powertrain, there was a reason you got an LS
It takes about it in more detail in your manual.
I remember seeing instructions on here to reset the Air filter, hopefully someone with a 430 could chime in.
Start the car and keep it in Park, then hold down the A/C OFF button for five seconds and the read-out on the instrument panel will state "A/C Filter Reset".

Oops sorry.
I meant push and hold down the main "OFF" button on your control panel for a few seconds. The panel will say "A/C Filter Reset" and you should hear a chime to confirm it reset.
