Default LS430 Trunk ?

Anyone know what the box in the middle of the trunk, just behind the rear seat is... and can it be removed?

Might be your amp, or some kind of ECU.

I have an '04 LS430, which has the box but I don't have the Nav system or ML audio. I assume it is an amp. but really not sure.

You're right...

So, go on and pull it out and put in a huge amp to better the sound...

Cheers. Just trying to put a smile out there!

Dont bother and try taking it out i took out the carpeted area to look at it and it was just a hump. It is part of the car. Maybe part of the gas tank. But save your time and just ignore it.

By the way Pearl, it seems our cars are identical. How much mileage you have? I have 30,000 on mine.

I just saw your post and thought the same thing. I just bought mine two weeks ago. I purchased it used with 60k miles. I'm slowly learning all there is to know about this model. From my signature, you probably can tell I used to own a GS400. Love the Lexus.

Cheers.
