Compass? How?

Compass? How?
I've got a 2001 LS430 (Canadian) lexus.. The manual says to press and hold DISP2 for the compass.. No matter what I do or how long I hold it.. It only shows nothing.. Or the outside temp.. The car is running and no doors are open.. I have also tried it using it in accessory key mode only and still nothing.. Any tips?

It is always much easier 2 look at the compass then look at the small little arrow in the top left hand corner of the nav screen

Im pretty sure u should get the compass, go to the dealer, they might do smt
