Default changing the dvd for the nav updates

ok this shouldnt be so hard that a dealer is necessary should it? where is the dvd drive in an 01 ls430? is this something that is EASILY accessible for an owner. by that I mean can you easily open the drive and eject the current disk for an update disk? and assuming that you can is the proceedure for updating something that just occurs once the new disk is inserted or is it so complex that a dealer HAS to do it. I have put many drives in my computers and updated and installed operating systems back to DOS 3x so its not scary for me to handle but is it something that is practically brainless or einstein level to update the nav?
