ECU Tune?
Been thinking of doing an ecu tune on my 2002 Ls430 for ***** and giggles. Was thinking of doing either quantum auto or AMT tuning for the ecu. Anyone have experience in either?
a lot of people tell me it’s just plug and play or I gotta do a bunch of calibration myself.
what yall know about this?

Although we've not done this -- I've seen/read/heard of others that have used Brandon at Quantum Auto Tune say that he does a great job and is very knowledgeable/helpful if you have any questions beforehand.

There wouldn't be a lot to gain without supporting modifications like intake/exhaust... the trans shifting can be tuned a bit but again usually ECU tuning is done to support modifications. In the GM LS motor world tuning is quite popular but that is also with different aggressive cams, intake, exhaust and high stall torque converters.
