2005 LS 430 headlight low beam goes out while driving
I have a 2005 LS 430 ultra and the headlight on the passenger side low beam goes out after a few minutes of the car running. I have replace the ballast with a new one in the problem continues. I’ve replaced the headlight as well.
Has anyone had this type of problem or can tell me what they think the problem may be relay or something of that nature?

04 ML mine does the same and I have replaced same as well. Passenger side. Not sure of the cause .when I notice it happen which seems random, I give the switch a quick off on and it comes back. It is frustrating for sure. Hopefully someone has found a cure.
If you have replaced both the bulb and ballast, then it has to be a wiring fault before the ballast or between ballast and bulb.
Sounds like something is heating up and that is disconnecting the bulb.

Fuse diagram shows 2 fuses and1 relay and it is possible that is a double throw relay but don't know without a diagram. When light off tap top of that relay to see if light will flicker. Your problem sounds like heating up from heavy amperage and not good contact. Also pull connectors in line with light and with flashlight look inside to see if you see arcing. If not this simple you will need a diagram to diagnose with meter. It will be couple of weeks before I am back home to look at my 2001 diagram but that may also be different that your 2005.

The heavy amperage can weaken the metal in connector. For connector if you see evidence like black try cleaning and manipulate the metal so a stronger contact. Also do the relay hit.
For the relay I meant physically tap it on top with something like plastic end of screwdriver. Tap hard enough to make a difference. If that is in fact a double throw and the relay contact is bad this will tell. The light will either come back on or flicker. This works close to 100% of the time for bad contacts in relays.

I'm having the exact same issue but it's on my 2002 LS430, which uses a different style of headlight (mine has Xenon HID). From what I've been able to read, this is a bulb issue so I'm going to try replacing my bulb and see if that solves it. I also read that using non-OEM or "cheap" bulbs can cause this issue but have no idea if that's actually true....it's only something I read. I'll be replacing my headlight bulb soon and will report results after.
