Default Teyes cc3 2k

I recently bought a Teyes cc3 2k aftermarket screen for my 2001 Ls430. I was wondering if there were any full installation guides on this specific model as Ive seen that it had been recommended a lot but they’re website had no ls430 specific guide for it. I’ve been struggling to figure out how to install it correctly.

All of the Android head units install more or less the same way. Look up videos on how to install any Android head unit into an LS430 and the instructions will be 95% the same, the difference will be in the aftermarket wiring harness that the company supplied with the unit that you bought from them. They really should have provided instructions though, the one I installed in my friends car from Aliexpress even came with half decent instructions.

Need more info than what you provided. Show picture of cables provided and did they give you a canbus. My 2001 upgrade also came with no instructions and went smoothly.

Interested. Is this complete replacement of the nav/screen unit and handles all functions including climate control etc.?

When you end up with the car this will update the antiquated electronics. Go to aliexpress and put in ls430 android to pull up options and replacements for nav models are the easiest and look like factory with fully functional android 9 inch screen. Amazon also has but higher price. It is extremely easy replacement. Can even get this with a cell modem but I use hotspot from phone.

Yes it does. I installed one in a different LS430, they work well but but there are quirks. Several people have covered them in depth here on the forum if you search for posts regarding "android head unit". There are demonstrations of functions and examples of issues by members from here on youtube as well.

Thanks. I was able to locate it on their website https://www.teyes.com.au/products/te...38006540533956

I see there is the CC3 vs the CC3 2k and different options for memory. Where do folks generally buy these? Alibaba?

It looks like oscillating vents would be lost?

Vents do still swing as off/on in the ac app. Buy from whatever comfortable with but I have had no problem with Alibaba.

The one I installed for my friend in his LS430 was from Aliexpress. Here's a link to it: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802558475382.html We picked that one because several other people here on the forum bought from them and had good experiences and the seller actually responds to requests for help after you buy it. Whatever you buy, I strongly suggest getting one with at least 8gb of ram(memory) and 64gb of storage, preferably 128gb storage. The one my friend went with is 8g/128g and he hasn't had any issues in almost two years now. Also vent swing still works.

Thanks! Great to hear first hand. So that one you linked has been bought by others here for the 04-06 ls430 and everything works? It does not appears to says Teyes, I am guessing they are all the same clones sold under different names.

Do these things get updates at all that you know of? And was it totally plug and play? does it have an aftermarket camera or use the factory one?

It's not a Teyes, but they are all very similar. The biggest difference is whether or not you can trust that the specs are true and if the supplier is available after purchasing or if they ghost you. Unfortunately they do not get Android updates and probably never will. Generally, no off-brand Chinese Android device will get updates. So don't do any banking or stock trading on your car stereo and maybe don't connect it to public wifi. I don't remember the years of the cars that others have installed them in, but I don't recall there being much or any difference except the presence of the backup camera. I think you can use the factory backup camera on an 04-06, but not entirely sure and could be wrong about that. I always skipped over the backup camera stuff since I was installing it in an 01 car. The instructions were slightly confusing since there are a lot of plugs and not all of them are used even when there is a place to plug them in but the seller I linked responds to pleas for help if you get stuck. There is no wire cutting or splicing though and you just need basic hand tools and a trim-puller set to install it. There is a user here that posted a lot of videos about using and configuring his, I'd look for them to get an idea of how these things work and the quirks they have.

For my 01 I installed the back up camera and radio antenna and ran wires in top left molding to back without pulling back seat. Mine is UL so for camera I did drop the trunk lid cover and trigger power spliced into backup light.

Above video mentions an ash tray delete for a better USB outlet installation. On option is the printable file on Thingiverse if not wanting to spend a hundred bucks for OEM.
