Default Homelink replacement?

So my homelink still works as it opens the gate to my neighborhood just fine, but it's completely stopped being able to open/close the garage door (whether that door is open or not; used to be able to close it but not open presumably due to metal?).

Is there a straightforward way to replace the emitter or should I probably just live with it?

I don't know how old your garage door motors are, but LS430 homelink no longer works with modern garage door motors. There was some change in frequency around 2009 (maybe?). You need some kind of retransmitter device in the garage to use an old homelink with the modre motor. So even if you update your transmitter in the car, I believe it is outdated tech if you ever need a new garage door motor. I have a 2 car garage and simply added a 2-button remote programmed to it on my visor. Not sure if you have an old remote that came with your door motor still, but that may be easiest.

Hmm, I think they are older as I was able to get it to work at the beginning of the year but it stopped working recently. It really does just feel like a weak signal since I have to drive up to the gate vs. being able to open the gate from the main road in my minivan.

Also just confirmed I'm able to close the garage door using the button IN the garage, so seems to purely be a signal strength issue.
