drivers door won't open from outside or inside
so my cousin drove my 98 and he said the door wouldn't close so he kinda slammed it shut, when he got back we couldn't get it open from the outside or inside. When I pull on the outside handle, it just kind of gets stuck in the "opening" position, the inside I pull it but it doesn't do anything, and it feels like there's not tension on it(doesn't feel like its pushing/pulling a mechanism). Any advice on how to get it open so I can take the door card off and see whats going on or if there's any "emergency" method?

This happens over time. Something to do with the latch if I am not mistaken. Expensive fix. Perhaps if you can eventually get it open, take apart the door and see if penetrating lubricants help (water-repelling)...but I am 95% sure it won't...worth a try as taking the door apart is easy
