I have a 2002 ls430. Front door locks would not work with remote fob. I replace the power motors inside the lock mechanism and all was good for a few weeks. Driver side would “ratchet” “cycle” a few times when button was pushed. Disabled the new motor so it would not function when remote button was pushed. Worked ok for a few weeks ( just needed to key drivers door manually, no big deal). Now the alarm will go off when you open the drivers door…unlocked locked using valet key using remote fob. Alarm stops when ignition is cycled to on position. Anybody have an idea why the alarm goes off? I would love to just pull a fuse to shut it off completely but the owners manual is no help, alarm goes off with different fuses removed. Any suggestions on what fuse to pull or how to disable alarm? I have the horns unplugged now so it’s not totally annoying to the neighbors. The cars 22 years old and 150xxx miles, so I’m not opposed to butchery to shut it off, it’s a work beater and I don’t want to spend a lot to have somebody go into the computer to shut it off.
