Default LS430 Line Output Converter Help

Hey there, I’m trying to add an aftermarket amp and subwoofer with a line output converter (LOC), with the AudioControl LC2i. I’m only doing my subwoofers as my door speakers are fine. When I hook everything up, my door speakers are playing from the OEM amp but my aftermarket subs aren’t playing. Could it be that the OEM amp detects that there aren’t any speakers connected, causing it to not send musical signals out to my LOC? I’ve searched up on AudioControl’s website and they said that my issue could be from the OEM amp not detecting speakers plugged in. To fix that, they said to use a resistor. Putting the resistor on the positive & negative wire. I was wondering if anyone has had that same issue or if I just have a bad LOC.

IM SORRY IF THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, IM RUNNING OFF OF 3 HOURS OF SLEEP AND HAVE BEEN UP FOR 2 DAYS.

Are you sure the aftermarket amp is not the issue? Settings, wires, etc all 100% correct? Could be something as simple as a forgotten source input switch or remote wire when working on 2hrs of sleep. Go to bed man, it’s not that important!

After rechecking my wires, everything is good. I have a good amp, good LOC, good sub. That wire from the factory sub is good. I hooked up an 8 ohm speaker and the speaker works. I’m gonna rewire everything and get a new RCA wire.

I took everything out and rewired the LOC and it works! My problem was the remote wire from the LOC to the amp. There was a weak connection. It provided enough power to turn the amp on but not play any sound which is very odd. Either way, it's working. I was wondering if anyone makes high-output alternators for these cars. I'm going to need one as I have an air suspension setup and a powerful sound system.

I'm only aware of Mechman, or at least a name I hear often with alternators for people with aftermarket systems.
