need help with speaker
i have a 92 sc400 with the basic stereo with no cd player. i juss put in new pioneer rear speakers and when i test it the volume is lower than stock. im gonna get new front speakers soon and hook up all 4 speakers to a amp. i dont know anything about hooking an amp to the speakers and i need help on how to hook it up. does all the speaker wires go to the amp in the trunk or straight to the hu. and how do i connect the speakers to the amp. thanks
If you're gonna use your stock HU, then you will need a line level convertor and hook that up to your OEM amp speaker outputs. Then you will feed the output from the LLC to your aftermarket amp. You then have 2 options, you can run the speaker cable from the amp to the OEM amp and splice your speaker wires, or you can just run from the aftermarket amp to each speaker directly.
yea im gonna use my stock hu. i think it'll be easier to splice all the speaker wires from the oem amp to the new amp. so pretty much do i cut the wires from the oem amp and hook it up to the new amp or du i juss use t-taps? and does anyone know what color wire goes to which speaker from the amp. thanks
