Default LS 430 search

I have been searching for a solid non-abused 2006 LS 430 for a few months now. They seem to sell pretty quick if they are solid and from private sellers. Most of the LS' from dealers have been in at least one accident. I am patiently waiting for a solid 2006 LS 430 to pop up on the west coast. There are very few available in the PNW probably due to weather.

If any of you have some advise for finding a good 2006 LS 430, let me know.

I don't know how you feel about bringing in an LS from out of state, but I see many low mileage and very pricey specimens in Florida under Edmunds website

You could have snapped up an amazing one owner dealer serviced low mileage 2003 UL for sale in Oak Harbor but it sold recently. Keep looking - they do pop up. The 2005s are pretty much identical to the 2006s so keep you mind open to that option too.

Living in the LS430 haven of Florida, I can attest that it is no easy task to buy a clean LS430 at a dealership or privately here. The word has been out for quite some time and unless you are actually part of the family of an LS430 ownership, your chances are thin to none to get one that is not priced in the Stratosphere!

I haven't looked that far away, but hey, I might as well check. Thanks.

You are right about "the word has gotten out", but maybe I will get lucky. Not likely, but I will keep looking.

I will keep searching. It is good to know they do up up in the PNW. I really have my heart set on a 2006, but I will definitely expand my search to the 2005's. Thanks much.

I stopped eliminating accident as a criteria as after 20 years, fender benders and such do show up...so long as you can see it in person / evaluate damage, you might price for that.

Private owner sales are best in my opinion, but becoming less common due to the value of used cars the past few years and delaers making aggressive trade offers, and people are just getting increasingly afraid to have people show up at their home or drive their car.
When I lived in Washington, I bought both my 430's from California, the first one from a dealer and the 2nd from the original owner. The dealer did the classic lie/cover-up but the car ended up being awesome anyway, and the private one is my current 04.
As for Carfax reports, it is good to have access to the owners because you can know more about what happened. My current car had 2 booboos on Carfax but after meeting him I realized he was one of these people who files an accident claim for a shopping cart hitting him, and I had both damage spots fixed for $300 in paintless dent removal. He was paranoid and wouldn't let anyone touch the car to repair.

I agree expand your search to 05. The only change in 06 was a reduction in hp of 12 or something, and there are threads on here exlpaining why; I don't recall.

I don't know if a 2005 would float your boat since you seem intent upon '06, but just doing a quick search, the lowest mileage reasonably priced post-facelift LS430 currently out there is a silver one in FL. The link is https://www.lee-cars.com/pre-owned-cars?q=ls430. Maybe that's a shady used-car dealer; no idea. But at 68k miles, $12k sure seems like a great price. It's just a Premium -- so no nav or anything. But that's exactly what I have ('05 Premium in Flint Mica/Black) and I'll be doggoned if that thing doesn't run perfectly! You might want to give them a call and see what's up.
