What exactly does PWR or SNOW do?
I'm just curious what exactly is different when selecting either of those transmission control options. I think I read somewhere that SNOW starts the car in 2nd gear and dulls the throttle input, and PWR increases throttle response and decreases shift times, but that's all I really know (if that's even correct). I'd like to know more specifics or details if anyone has that info.
I know on certain benz that's what the snow does. Start on second gear and soften throttle response. I think power is better response and holds gears for longer. I never really use power though. I use to feel a difference in sport suspension but now that I have wheels on it it doesn't feel as dramatic.
PWR raises the shift points and sharpens the throttle response. My better half calls it "Angry mode". <LOL>
SNOW limits wheelspin, softens throttle response, and I believe disables ABS below 20Mph. It also changes how VSC responds to skids and such.

Sweet, thanks for the detail. So could you theoretically use Snow mode for improved MPG? I know I've put it on in bumper to bumper traffic and it's much smoother speeding up and slowing down constantly than in normal mode.
