Default SNOW ECT Mode

Is there a long-term disadvantage or mechanical burden of mostly driving in the the SNOW MODE, to have a gentler throttle response?

No not at all. Its just alternating an ECU profile so its not going to strain your vehicle in anyway

Is this a feature of the later cars? That's pretty cool.

I can't imagine driving in snow mode unless on snow and ice severe enough that getting traction is difficult. The transmission starts out in what? 2nd or 3rd? Shifting is retarded and the engine often revs too much and then shifts with a bang.

Just drive the car normally as it was meant to be driven and use snow mode only when necessary. Sheesh.

As I assume the reason why you ask above is that you are having a sudden acceleration problem after the speed bump. Am I correct?

i like the snow mode, especially in stop n go traffic or going over alot of speed bumps, also it prolongs your motor/tranny mounts, also save on fuel, keeps the reve really low, but on the hiway i keep it on normal. this is imo.
