I have a 04 Ls 430 and when the headlights are in the auto position only the interior lights and taillights turn on but the light sensor works so I’m confused on how that’s possible.. also sometimes at night while I’m driving the radio and climate backlight will go into day mode even if the lights aren’t in auto which is rare but has been happening more often recently

 

Yea, this is why I never use auto headlights in cars, I notice that the headlights just end up turning on all day.

 

Not normal. Have my lights on auto almost always and they act perfectly: on at dusk... off during day. Something is wrong with yours, as you realized. I wonder if the sensor is pure on/off or could be bad somehow. I just wish LS430 lights turned on when wipers go on and that we had automatic high beam switching..

 

Recently I fixed the interior lights going off by kicking the junction box lol, I found that out on here but the headlights themselves I never found out what’s wrong. Maybe someone set it up like that using some software? Since only the fog lights come on in auto while also turning off the Drl lights in the day. I’m leaving it because now I actually like having that lol
