Default Bluetooth Phones on the '04 LS430

Would someone please post what type of ATT phones work with the new Bluetooth system? I'm going to be picking up my new LS in a few days and interested in getting a phone before it arrives. Thank you!

Raja:

I called Lexus today, as I will be getting my new car soon. They said the following 3 phones will work -

Using theAt& t service -

Nokia 6310i
SonyEriccson T68i

Using TMobile

SonyEriccson T610

I believe previous posts stated that the Sonys download data faster than the Nokia. Let me know how they work, if you get yours before me.

Default Bluetooth Phones

Thanks Jennifer! I'm glad you sent me that information, because I'd like to get the phone as soon as the car arrives. It'll be at the dealership any day now!!! Can't wait, I feel like a 10 year old a few days away from Christmas morning...

Post some photos of your new LS when it gets in...& I'll do the same...Have fun!

Has anyone heard if Alltel has any Bluetooth compatible phones? I think I have a few more months remaining on my contract with them.

Default Still Waiting

Raja:

No problem, I'll post pictures when my car comes in. Dealer called today, and said at least 2 1/2 weeks. I am really disappointed. I am waiting on a silver with black interior, Modern Luxury package w/o euro suspension. I also will have Satellite Radio installed after delivery by the Dealer (I hope). They are trying to trade with another dealer.

so.... you post the pictures first! Congrats!

Any bluetooth phone should work - that's the whole purpose of bluetooth. As I have mentioned in other posts - I even got my pda to "talk" to the Lexus system and transfered my enitire addressbook from Microsoft Outlook straight to the car

From the October newsletter of French Parrot S.A. they quote.

"We are proud to announce our partnership with Toyota to distribute our car kits."

What this could mean is plug and play Bluetooth hands free car kits available for Toyota and Lexus cars. Even LS400's and LS430's (before '04), like the CK3000 kit I've put in my '02 LS430 (not plug and play).

It makes me wonder if the '04 LS430 Bluetooth module is made for Lexus by French Parrot. More information on Parrot hand free bluetooth car kits at www.parrot.fr or www.driveblue.com.

Currently the Nokia 6310i and the Sony Ericsson T68i are both on the approved list. And the coverage is national .
