C110 is used in parallel with C120. The purpose of it is to reduce the higher frequency ripple which is not OK enough for the electrolytic capacitor C120. You need to use a ceramic capacitor 0.22uF 25V XR7 for C110.

I worry that traces around C120 and C110 are missing. You have to repair those traces too.

Good luck on your repairing job.

I don't do any soldering but just an observation, wouldn't that board be too far gone to be repaired?

Long time CL forum lurker, finally decided to create an account to ask for some help. Hopefully Yamae-san will see this.

Just did the capacitor replacement on 95 LS400 ECU (P/N 89661-50234). I also replaced C110 because it was destroyed by the C120 leak. I used the 0.22uF 25V X7R ceramic cap per Yamae. I wanted to ask if C110 is the same part as C111, if so, C111 is an "A4" which according to the EIA code is a 10nF (10,000pF) size cap. I just want to confirm the C110 part.

any tips on how to locate a proper sized 0.22uF 25V XR7? i bought a couple from Mouser without really paying attention to size, and the ones that arrived were like the size of a pinprick.

I used the 0805 size cap for my ECU repair. I posted pictures of my work on the ECU repair thread (post #1944). I bought all of my caps from Digikey.
