Default Floor Mats

OK, just pretending for a moment that I have a car that actually runs which I can think about getting nice things for....

I keep seeing these 'zebra' mats in pictures of LS400s - as if it's the most normal thing. Well, out of the 3 LS400s that I've had, none have had zebra mats, and neither do they appear to be listed as an accessory in the 2 or 3 brochures that I have.

Were these mats for a specific market? Are they still available? Do they have an official name? Do they exist for the 1998-2000 in pale green?

i believe you are referring to the thick carpet mats that i've only seen in the japanese market (under Toyota Celsior). i'm sure you can import it if you find a reputable importer!

Acquired a set.

As JDM is right-hand drive, may necessitate reconfiguring left-hand mat, but a trim shop can manage.

Ha! Yes, I've seen those - and no I do not mean those!

This is the best example I can find at the moment, albeit not very spectacular...

Need to make clear that I'm not talking about vacuum-cleaner stripes, either!

I'll keep looking!

Here's one....

Yes, perhaps it is a JDM thing - although I've seen them on cars imported from the middle-east.
RHD not a problem for the UK, of course!
