2003 - Lexus LS430
I just obtained a 2003 LS430 year-end close-out with the standard suspension - i.e. - no euro-tuned option. I was told at the dealer that the euro-tuned option was no longer available.
I traded in a '98 BMW 540i. In comparing the ride and handling of the 430 to the Beemer, the 430 seems to handle quite similarly and it rides a lot firmer that I would have thought (especially over little sharp depressions and manhole cover depressions).
My query is - is it possible that the later 2003 builds were equiped with the euro suspension, but Lexus deemed not to list it as an option? It really feels like it's in the car.
I called the Lexus 800 number, gave them my VIN, and the rep claims I have the standard suspension.
Am I just crazy?
