LS430 Models?
Hello all I am new to this forum, and new to Lexus in General. I have always loved Lexus and Toyota autos, just never really interested until the 2001 LS430. I am looking at purchasing a new or preowned LS430 preferebly white, with less than 10,000 miles. But mostly likely I will be buying new as I will get the Ultra Luxury package. I would like to know if the 2003 model will be much better than the 2002 and if the 2004 will be revamped as well. I don't want to buy a $70,000 car and have it totally reworked 4 months later.
ps- When will the GX470 be available? And will it be comparable to the air ride suspension of the LX470?? Anything new for these models???
Thanks guys I am looking foreward for your responses..!!

We probably won't know anything about the 2003 LS430 until Lexus announces it. Given the fact not much has changed between the 01 and 02, I think we are due for a small body style update in 03 and of course there has been rumor of a super charged engine or V12. If we don't get a body style update in 03 then I think we could count on a whole new style in 04. I'd hope none of this is true as I want my LS430 UL to be the "new style" for years to come!

Not much until 2004?? I hope so. I also wanted to find out what the dealer pays for the Lexus. Retail Prices, and exactly where I should be buying from.
Retail prices?
What the Dealer pays?
If I get 18-19-20 inch rims will that affect the ride quality and how much??
Is the 2001 LS430 a better buy as far as $$$ concern since it is pretty much the same as the 2002?
Is the LX470 2002 worth the $$$?? As I live in Colorado Springs, and I need SUV for the winter....just feels more comfortable~~
Thanks

The LS430 just came out in 2001 and Lexus redesign the car every 4-6 years, except the 1st gen SC which is 9 years. In 2003 LS may have a little cosmetic change may be new rims or taillight just like they did on the 99ES or the 2001 GS with new taillight.
You can't go wrong with either LS or LX, but the GX coming out in Jan with DVD player in the back you may need to look into that in the GX forum. Let us know which one your decide to buy. If I have the money I'll buy all 3 of them.lol.

LuvLuxury:
In previous discussions on this topic: , most people seem to be able to get $2,000 to $3,500 or so off of list for a standard LS430, depending on where you are and how good a negotiator you are. For the most part, few peope report being able to get an Ultra Luxury or Custom luxury for much under list. You might do a search on earlier threads and get some hints.

I am still looking at the white 2002 LS430 with the ultra lux package, I am in the midst of getting an invoice price for the car so if it falls through I will be a happy man. I asked in my earlier post if anyone knew anything about the difference in the ride quality when having 19 inch rims or 20 inch rims. Also honestly is the LS430 a serious lux sedan? Thanks guys

I have a 2002 LS430 with premium/nav system. List cost was 61,500. i got it for 56,800, which was $3500 over invoisce.
The 2002 has an upgraded Nav system, which i am sure you want to have the latest.

ahh you have the prem. opt. How do you like the car? Any problems so far? I have heard nothing but greatness about its reliability, and a small amount of people don't agree with its styling, but I prefer a little low key anyways.......
ps- Any idea on what 18-20 inch rims would do to the sedans overall ride quality???
pps- What color is you lex~
Thanks
