Default Suspension setup is too low, need help!

Hello everyone,
I recently bought a 2000 LS400 (happy to be part of the LS crew) and the suspension setup is way too low for me. It has bilstein b6 shock absorbers with h&r springs. It is possible to have it raised a little with this current setup? If not, what are some good options?

If it is on the lower spring perch setting you can raise it to the higher one. That will yield about 1/2" difference. That looks like it is already in the higher mount though. This is mine on the lower one in front and high on the back with Eibach springs. Stock springs would be the next option and they can be found at wrecking yards sometimes.

Thank you for the quick response. How difficult is it to raise the perch? I believe it is on the lower setting, the pic I posted doesn't give you a clear view of how low it actually is.

Not hard. The front shock assembly and coil spring will need to be removed to shift the snap ring on the shock body to the higher position. If you've DIY'd suspensions on other cars this is similar. About 30-40 minutes per corner. You'll need an alignment following. The local indy shops will do this for about $50-$75 per corner.

Your car looks really good after 20 years. I would just find the OEM springs and swap them out.

I agree, the car is just way too low for a daily driver. I have been looking for OEM springs but seem almost impossible to find. Any suggestions where I could look other than the junk yard?

Keep hunting and calling the pick-part yards for 95-00's. They come up just timing can vary.

Lots of times they don't list springs separately so you might have to buy the spring/shock assembly. It would be even better if you can find a yard with the car still in 1 piece.
