It's nice to think of new places to store things but will that block any air from getting through the grill? Even if it blocks a little it might effect something.

Oh no, just when I was looking forward to a happy ending... Did the hood just open at highway speed and slam on the roof - is that what happened?

I had a latching issue on a '95 LS before... had to take it cross country. Wish I still had the picture, but I went to Target and got some rope. Tied the hood down in from each front coil spring and somewhere under the bumper. Haha. That fix got it home. Ended up buying a new latch for like 20 bucks. Was a PITA to install and adjust.

A little late for all that useless info now, I understand. Sorry about what happened to your car.

Awe man, sorry to see that. All that work ya did and the time and money you spent. I feel your pain, I know what it's like to do a boatload of work and it's gone in a second. Try to keep your head up.

Sorry for your trouble. I hesitated to inform you my latest experience but I dare write about it here.

Judging from the symptom, I worry about the remaining stress of the body. The broken moon roof may be telling you just a part of the stress. I hope your car does not cause any more problem but I you'd better to pay good attentions on the front window shield.

This was just happened at my local shop. A rear ended car has been sitting there waiting for the repair. The rear window shield was OK initially but it was broken when the repair job was just started.

That's a good point. The windshields of modern cars are stressed structural members. Any damage to the surrounding frame will change the window's stress concentration levels to those outside the engineered specification, which can definitely cause the glass to fracture.

Well after lots of going back and fourth for a week, I’ve decided to keep going. I spent lots of time looking for this year and color. I wanna reach my goal of 330K miles. I’m gonna leave the windshield as the last fix, going to get the moonroof from the old brown LS posted above..... looking for a hood..... can’t find any but two but neither of them ship to Texas. Found one that was green on eBay but for 400+ it’s not worth it. Checked the local car junkyards none have a UCF20, all first gen. Any help appreciated guys, she deserves to continue down the road.
