Default 00 LS400 power steering problems plz help me

So I have a 00 LS400
first problem was the I Iscv controller so I tapped that now it’s leaking from who knows where. I checked the lines and they look good. Seems the leak is comming above from the alternator somewhere there. And ideas or help thank you

Iscv ? Do you mean ACV ?
Which lines did you check? There are several...
Leak coming from above the alternator? The pump and the reservoir both live up there so we may need more details before we can help.

The lines are ok . I can’t really see exactly where it’s leaking from all I see is. It’s leaking between the pump and alternator. My alternator connection looks a bit wet and it just drips a bit not a lot. I can’t find where it’s leaking from

Sounds like whatever method you chose to plug the ACV may still be leaking. Not uncommon as PS systems are under tremendous amounts of hydraulic pressure.

It’s hard to explain but I tapped it good I welded it. Just this leak above from the alternator wich is the pump is driving me crazy

Please provide more details on how you plugged the ACV hole of the pump. Did you remove the pump completely and plug / weld on a bench ? What "plug" did you use? If you became that intimate with the location of the ACV I can't understand why you are unable to find the subsequent leak...

That one. I tapped it becuz it was leaking. But now it’s fixed no more leaking . But again there’s a small leak somewhere in the pump. All the fluid comes down to the alternator and it gets all the high pressure lines wet. So somewhere in between the pump and alternator

Did you do the work "plug" or did you pay someone ...?

Check the tightness of your plug. It seals on the end that goes inside the pump, not on the threads. Has to be pretty tight.

I did this repair AFTER my TB replacement was complete . Why the heck did I not do it when everything was apart?!!
Btw, since my radiator hose was new, I popped it loose (dumped the coolant into a pan) which made the PS pump easier to access.


Credit also to Dashan for the list below:

1. Bolt to plug the ACV: M14 x 1.5 thread bolt (Oil pan drain plug bolt from atuzone)

2. O-ring #1 - 90301-53007 (the biggest O ring)

3. O-ring #2 - 90301-18013

4. O-ring #3 - 90301-11016

5. O-ring #4 -90301-19018 (for High pressure port, the one with 27mm head)

6. Gasket between the pump and high pressure line: 44327-30030


I thought of cutting that ICV vlave plastic off and welding over the fitting also. Until I saw the post about changing-the-tiny-o-rings-in-the plunger trick. But that is for internal leakage to engine intake I suppose. Mine doesn't leak so far so I left it alone.
